was formed in 1996 after a statewide survey of EMS leadership showed strong support for an association to provide a voice to legislators about all issues pertaining to ambulance districts in the state.
ABOUT
The Ambulance District Association of Missouri (ADAM) is a Missouri non-profit that exists to provide a voice to 98 ambulance districts in the state of Missouri. ADAM’s membership includes agencies of all sizes scattered throughout the state. You can find ambulance districts in the urban, suburban, and rural areas of the state. The coverage area for ambulance districts encompass a significant portion of the state from the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri to the rolling farm land of Northeast Missouri. Missouri has an overall population of 6,137,428 residents, of which, a significant portion are covered by ambulance districts.
• To assist member Ambulance Districts by providing information, education, advocacy, technical assistance and communications to better enable legislators to make informed decisions regarding proposed EMS legislation.
• To promote Ambulance Districts as the best way to provide high quality EMS.
• To be a legislative watchdog and proponent for the Comprehensive Emergency Medical Services Systems Act.
• To support Ambulance District leadership through the collective defense of the Ambulance District model.
• To drive consistency and improvement into the clinical, financial, and operational management of Ambulance Districts.
